What Is Cakewalk Project
5?
Project 5 is a very powerful soft synth
production software with everything you need to create and
perform your music. I have not had a chance to use the software
yet but I have heard some really nice music tracks that were
produced using it. Just like any other soft synth you get a
complete set of superb quality instruments and effects,
powerful recording, looping, sequencing, and arranging tools.
However, Cakewalk has been around for a long time and they no
what they are doing.
I still have my Cakewalk 2002 Music Creator
with at least 200 songs files in it. Cakewalk built it’s name
on quality so you should not be surprised when you hear the
crisp clean sound Project 5 creates. You will receive open
support for VST and DirectX instruments and effects; ReWire
host and client; and support for nearly every industry standard
sample format too.
This software looks like a simple production
software program at a glance but if you really look inside you
will see that it’s just a front for you receiving the
streamlined user interface, the Dimension™ multimode sampling
synthesizer, an audio engine optimized for realtime
performance, GrooveMatrix™ multipad pattern triggering, a
per-track arpeggiator, integrated multitrack audio recording
and editing, loop reconstruction tools, Alias Factor™ bit
decimator and resonant filter, and PSYN II, a powerful
subtractive synthesizer.
Additional enhancements include: track freeze,
tap tempo, track inspector view, multi-lane tracks, and
in-track automation. A really good choice if you like Cakewalk
products!
